The Intersectional Environmentalist Pledge

As a company and as individuals we hold ourselves responsible for reducing inequality and supporting Black, Indigenous and People of Color in our communities and the world, while we work to protect our planet. We have learned through Intersectional Environmentalism that climate justice cannot be achieved without racial justice.

Intersectional Environmentalism is an inclusive version of environmentalism that advocates for both the protection of people and the planet. It identifies the ways in which injustices happening to marginalized communities and the earth are interconnected. It brings injustices done to the most vulnerable communities, and the earth, to the forefront and does not minimize or silence social inequality. Intersectional environmentalism advocates for justice for the people + planet.

We realize that being able to focus on our passion for the Environment is a privilege that many don’t have, which is why we are committing to the Intersectional Environmentalist Pledge created by Leah Thomas.

As we work to identify the specific actions we can take to hold ourselves accountable to this pledge, we want to share some of the resources and inspiration that are helping to educate and guide us in this effort.
