Mending with Woven Darning with Anna Svoboda-Stel - July 13th
Learn how to repair small and large holes using this traditional technique with Germantown Laundromat's own mender Anna Svoboda-Stel. She will show you how to select the right materials for your repair, helping you to create a unique mend that extends the life of your garment.
Please bring along an item you would like to repair if you have one (we recommend knitwear like socks, sweaters, jersey t-shirts, although this method can be used on a variety of textiles). This workshop is suitable for beginners. Mending materials and refreshments will be provided.

Anna Svoboda-Stel is a local artist and lifelong sewer, providing professional alterations and repairs for several years. Working with a variety of textile techniques including dyeing, weaving, embroidery and upholstery, Anna offers mending and repairs services at the Germantown Laundromat on Mondays from 11 – 5pm.
